Question 1

What is InGoodStanding?

Accepted Answer

InGoodStanding is being built for contractor teams that need a clearer routine for credentials, paperwork, and deadlines. The current app includes a public paperwork checklist and contractor-scoped workspaces. The broader credential-tracking experience described in this FAQ is still being built.

Question 2

Which contractors is InGoodStanding for?

Accepted Answer

The intended audience is electricians, plumbers, HVAC contractors, and roofers. InGoodStanding is being built around the contractor work that depends on keeping credentials, insurance certificates, permits, and deadlines organized by trade and state.

Question 3

What paperwork is InGoodStanding intended to organize?

Accepted Answer

The intended organization includes contractor credentials and licenses, insurance certificates, permits, and the deadlines attached to them. The planned structure is by trade and state so a team can keep the relevant paperwork and dates together. This organization is a planned capability, not a claim that the full tracker is available today.

Question 4

What can I use in the current app?

Accepted Answer

The public contractor paperwork checklist is available now. It covers a general review of licenses and registrations, insurance certificates, permits and project records, expiry dates, renewals, and key business documents. The current app also provides contractor-scoped workspace access. The checklist is general information, not legal advice or state-specific guidance.

Question 5

Does InGoodStanding cover my state or jurisdiction?

Accepted Answer

No active jurisdiction coverage is being claimed. Requirements vary by jurisdiction, trade, project, and customer. Any future organization or lookup of requirements by state and trade is intended to use verified details, but that capability is planned rather than available to rely on today. Check current requirements with the relevant licensing board, building department, insurer, customer, or a qualified professional.

Question 6

Does InGoodStanding send SMS or text reminders?

Accepted Answer

No. SMS and text delivery are not active in the current app. Text reminders for upcoming deadlines are planned, but they are not available and should not be treated as a live notification service.

Question 7

Can I pay for an InGoodStanding subscription now?

Accepted Answer

Signed-in contractors can choose Starter at $20 per month or $200 per year, Pro at $40 per month or $400 per year, or Crew at $80 per month or $800 per year. Checkout is hosted through Stripe Billing when the business connection is available. Access is not activated until the completed checkout is verified for the purchaser account.

Question 8

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

You can start with the public paperwork checklist to review the documents and dates that matter before a job begins or a credential renews. You can also create a contractor account and workspace through the current app. The fuller credential organization described above remains in development.

Question 9

Is the InGoodStanding checklist legal or state-specific advice?

Accepted Answer

No. The checklist is general information, not legal advice or state-specific guidance. Requirements can change, so verify the current requirements for your trade, job, and location with the relevant authority or a qualified professional.
